Well come to find out they are in fact two separate bands and two seperate lead singers!!!
Glen Phillips born December 29, 1970 in Santa Barbara, California. He was the lead singer/song writer for the band Toad the Wet Sprocket which he started when he was 14. Please note the lack of foot wear in the picture and remember back to when he used to sing in this fashion. I always thought it was a bad idea considering the amount of sweat bands produce under that heavy lighting with the added electrical equipment factor - but apparently he likes to live on the edge.Anyway this is not the same person as.....
Duncan Sheik
the lead singer/songwriter of the band Duncan Sheik (original) - born November 8th, 1969. He is around the same age as Glen however Duncan is a Scorpio while Glen is a Capricorn - hrmm. Duncan was born in Montclair, New Jersey and studied semiotics at Brown University. And apparently after school he moved to Daly City (not far from Santa Barbara??), California to start his music career. Duncan is a budist while Glen is a reform Jew. Duncan apparently is very charitable - donating stuff like music to aid the Tibetan monks, while on Glens wikipedia site it makes no note of such outside work other than how he contributing to population problem by having 3 kids (all potential breeders as well).Regardless - I still prefer Toad the Wet Sprocket to Duncans 1990's works and find it very interesting that they sound so similar and lived so close to each other all these years without ever collaborating. If I could mess the two songs together like this nickelback gem I would, but I guess you are going to have to settle for simultaneously pushing play on both youtubes to experience the wonder.
