a month in...

It has now been a month since i moved out here and started school - pretty wierd cause it just feels like yesterday i started all this and at the sametime it feels like months that i have been looking at bernie's muscles (my anatomy dog). Bernie is a good ol boy; only a year old, he was a lab beagle from a local research facility. So far we amputated his right forelimb and now we are onto the rear trying to memorize all the muscles and attachments.

Tomorrow is histo, physiology, developmental biology, and radiographic anatomy (which i am in the process of reviewing for) - and then after school i am off to charmany farms all next week to play with some dairy cows for my herd health elective. I had to buy a really attractive pair of navy coveralls and rubber boots for this adventure. I bought the smallest pair of coveralls and the crotch is still down to my knees!!
I am really excited to see the babies and milk a cow for the first time... if i get the all cow poop clear i will try to take some pictures.

this weekend the dane county humane society had a spay day which a bunch of my classmates and i volunteered at. I neutered my first kitten :O! and got to watch a bunch of other surgeries. there were people taking pictures so once i find out where they are i will try to post em.

anyway - if i sound tired sorry.. i am in ths middle of making an apple pandowdy, washing my coveralls, and studying.. boy do i need a maid service... i think for the tuition we pay that should be included along with weekly back massages ;)

The Joys of "normal-sized" all-purpose coveralls. I swear, someone has a great sense of humor when they design them. Just as long as you don't have to borrow an x-large one, you should be fine. :) There was enough material in one of those to make at least 2 for me!
